The “One Card, All Pass” is a new transportation card that is compatible in almost all regions of Korea as of June 21, 2014.
Previously, standard transportation cards were limited to use in Seoul, its metropolitan areas, and some major cities, however, the two biggest transportation card companies in the nation, T-money and Cash Bee, have extended their service system to all buses, subways, taxis, trains, inter-city buses, express buses and even paying toll gate fees.
The method for using and adding money to the transportation card is the same as before, where purchasing, reloading and refunding can be done at any subway station in metropolitan areas or at convenience stores.
In addition, the current standard issue pre-paid T-money Card will also be available to use nationwide starting in December of 2014 through 2017. The One Card, All Pass transportation cards are currently priced between 2,500 to 3,000 won depending on whether an adult, student, or child will use the pass. The companies announced that they are going to launch a foreigner only card in the near future.
